Quality Management System
Central Coast Automation maintains a documented quality management system (QMS) based on the following structure:| Level I | QUALITY MANUAL: contains the framework and overview of the QMS. This is the Why Manual and has the structure of ISO9001:2000. |
| Level II | OPERATING PROCEDURES: defines the work to be done, the sequence, who should do it, what authority and what responsibility has been assigned and the documents and records to be used and maintained. This is the Who, What, When, Where Manual. |
| Level III | WORK INSTRUCTIONS: provide steps and information which employees use to perform the work. This is the How Manual. |
| Level IV | FORMS: provide consistent and legible record formats. |
Normal Quality System Accorded to Customers
Central Coast Automation provides the following quality system elements at no addition cost on quotes. They form a part of Central Coast Automations generic quality system. Additional requirements found on customers Request for Quote, or Statement of Work, are considered during quoting. | Central Coast Automation maintains a calibration system compliant to ANSI/NCSL Z540-1, Calibration Laboratories and Measuring and Test Equipment - General Requirements, and ISO 10012-1 Part 1, Quality Assurance Requirements For Measuring Equipment - Metrological Confirmation System For Measuring Equipment. | |
| 3.0 | Right of Access: |
| Central Coast Automations customers and/or regulatory agencies are afforded the right of entry to Central Coast Automation and its suppliers to determine and verify the quality of contracted work, records, and materials. | |
| 4.0 | Inspection Sampling: |
| A statistically valid sampling plan may be used to accept production lots. The sampling plan is used after an acceptable first article determines process control. The sampling plan only accepts a lot or run of product if no defects were found in the sample (C=0). | |
| 5.0 | Rejected Material - Material Review Board Authority: |
| Central Coast Automation does not assume Material Review Board authority. | |
| 6.0 | Record Retention: |
| Central Coast Automation will retain all quality records (for example: certifications, test reports, manufacturing and quality plans) for Seven (7) years after the product ships to the customer. | |
| 7.0 | Regulatory Compliance: |
| Central Coast Automation take reasonable steps to ensures that all work accomplished is completed in accordance with all applicable codes of the city, county, state regulatory, and federal agencies. This includes current governmental and safety constraints on restricted, toxic and hazardous materials; as well as environmental, electrical and electromagnetic considerations. | |
| 8.0 | Product Inspections: |
| Central Coast Automation will inspect the product to ensure material, process and product conformance. Unless otherwise specified on the quote, drawing, or other document accompanying the quote Paragons general practices for inspection are considered. These general practices include the use of, but not limited to, optical comparators, calipers, micrometers, thread, bore or radius gages. | |
| 9.0 | Certification of Conformance (C of C): |
| Central Coast Automation will provide a Certification of Conformance to attesting that the produce was produced, processed and inspected to the products requirements and the product passed all quality control examinations. | |
| 10.0 | Certification - Special Processes : |
| Special Processes and Material Certification will be provided with the lot when requested. Special processing includes: coatings, films, heat treating, inspection, non-destructive testing, plating, paint, testing, shot peening, welding, etc. (Exception: Hardware AN, MS, NAS when not required by the hardware procurement specification) | |
| 11.0 | Special Process Sources - Customer Specification: |
| Whenever a customers process specification are required to be performed all such processes will be performed to that specification, latest revision in effect, and by a processor listed (if applicable) on the customers approved source listing. |
